Re: Braindead vs. The Evil Dead
Neither. I wasn't impressed by either of them. Both seemed pretty boring. I'd understand quite a large number of descriptions, but "boring" sure isn't one of them. :what: I think it had a lot to do with when I saw both films. I saw them both for the first time within the past two years or...

I don't follow. The title of the movie is "Borderland."Spez wrote:Oh, is it Wolf Creek? That movie fucking blew.GraveyardManiac wrote:"Borderland" is based on a true story. Do you think I should have more similar movies in these battle threads?

American Werewolf vs. The Exorcist
For me, "An American Werewolf in London" is easily the better movie. In my opinion "The Exorcist" is totally overrated (maybe I do think so because I have seen it only recently for the first time and not some decades ago as probably most other horror fans).

Borderland vs. Hostel
What I love about "Borderland" is the extremely deep atmosphere, violence and the bald dude that portrays the satanic maniac perfectly. In a way, "Hostel" is two movies in one: soft porn and hostage horror. The sex parts were nicely done, I also liked the horror part pretty much....

The lawyer scene in "Wishmaster 2"
Do you think it was a good scene to have in the movie?
I found it totally ridiculous, not really in a good way.
By the way, I love the original "Wishmaster," but the second part is close to horrible in my humble opinion. The potential was there ...

If I am informed correctly, that's actually a huge budget compared to "Halloween", which was $200,000.DJBenz wrote:$375,000

Re: Horror discussion #19 - Hatchet (2006)
I liked Hatchet, but there is no more overrated movie EVER. Had I not heard any hype, I would have thought it was a fun little waste of 90 minutes. Everybody says it's overrated, but I know no one that loves the movie as much as I do. Maybe folks were too much looking forward to it? But let's be ob...
