Re: Fright Night remake

Yeah, it's got a good creepy vibe. Another one that I just thought of is House of Dark Shadows, it's a full length movie of the old sitcom with the same actors that was in the tv show, it had some great atmosphere too.

Re: Oh boy....

How about Mario Bava's Black Sunday, Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy, or Lamberto Bava's Demons.

One of Hitchcock's best, I would only put Vertigo and Rear Window ahead of it.

No way, that's the best part, that's when the whole mood changes from a TCM wannabee to a downright creepfest.

Re: Horror Movie Discussion #58 - Creepshow 2

I like this one better than the original, I never saw the original when it was first released but I did sneak into the drive-in and see the second one when it was released. I suppose that my preference of the sequel is more nostalgia than anything.

I voted to rent it. It is cheesy horror goodness but not an absolute necessity to own for horror fans.

Re: Horror Movie Discussion #56 - The Legend of Boggy Creek

I voted to rent it, it won't be one that everyone enjoys. No Neon, I am not mad that no one has seen it, I kind of expected that. It isn't scary by any means now but it received a lot of hoopla at the time of its release because of how realistic it was, so it is more of a horror nostalgia film than ...

And I may be the odd man out but I actually liked the second one almost as much....if only for the hitcher story.
Have to agree with you on the second one, it is nearly as good as the first.

Re: Horror Movie Discussion #53 - Creepshow

Love anthology films, this one was my favorite as a kid, it is dated now but still worth a watch to the younger horror fans.
