Re: Shiki!

WTF AR, I usually can count on you having really dodgy taste in music, but this doesn't shit in my ears at all. Cool guitar too.

Re: Our Flag Means Death

I had this recommended to me by a co-worker a few months ago, and watched it over a weekend. I remember it being good fun, even if I don't really have any solid memories of the story. And it's always a pleasure to see Con O'Neill.

Re: Barbarian

Just finished this - it's a fun one.
Sure, we've seen this all before, but it's still an engaging movie with some good tense moments and good acting.
A smidge too long, but that's probably because I've been watching movies today since 5:30am.
I wonder if she still wants her new job.

Re: The Menu

Good stuff. Filet of Marx, with a nihilism sauce served on a bed of failed capitalist pig. Four stars!

Re: A Wounded Fawn

I thought it was a decent way to waste 90 minutes. Has a giant amount of love for 80's Italian horror/giallo, while tossing in some early David Lynch style cheapness. Feminism from male writers/directors usually comes off more cheesy than genuine, but here it's at least better than anything Mindy Ka...

Thanks, now I'm like 15 episodes in.

You’re like a speck of glitter in the steamer Kangas left on cinema’s chest.

Lost 4.5 stars for the first 40 mins which was about all I could stomach. Terrible.
You're lucky you got out early. Such a disappointing Hallmark movie bullshit end.

I'd really love to see a new official disc release of this in the US. Such an under appreciated gem.

Trick
Lots of kills and blood, but except for the sheer quantity of death it's pretty PG-13. Tries to bite off more than it can chew plot-wise.
As shitty as any other movie that contains Jamie Kennedy.

Re: 2021 Halloween Horror Movie Challenge Discussion Thread

Slithis I wanted to see this so damn badly when I was 9. The ads promised a "Slithis Survival Kit" with your ticket, but my folks were not keen to take me as it was only playing at the drive-in. So, I never saw Slithis or got a kit that would help me survive Slithis. Now I've seen Slithis...

None of what I wrote is a recommendation. This is the movie equivalent of a hobo showing you his cock.

Terrifier
Yep, it's a slasher. No, there isn't much story. Amazingly violent and gory. Gets a full extra star just because I admire the lack of "fucks" it gives.
