Re: Latest Horror Purchases

Picked up the X-RAY / SCHIZOID bluray double feature. Awesome picture quality on both films. Seeing X-Ray in this splendour after years of watching it on Laserdisc was really nice. Barbie Benton looks good in HD. ;) The film itself is kinda dumb and often boring, but the many silly things throughout...

Re: Grabbers

I was never truly gone. I just stumbled about that fabled "front page" with all those reviews and a plethora of other content. Kept me busy for a while.

Re: Grabbers

As an alcoholic I highly recommend this film. I was really surprised how much care was put into this little flick. I got it as a present and thought it to be something cheap like an Asylum flick. It was a pleasant surprise when that wasn't the case.

http://i.imgur.com/oUGGMnU.jpg EVIL DEAD (2013) After watching the trailer I was really looking forward to see this. A slicker and more bleak remake of one of my favourite Horror films? Just bring it on already. Overall the remake delivered what I had expected with exception of the atmosphere and p...

INFESTATION Fun little flick. Ray Wise is awesome as usual. SCREAM 3 Re-watched all the Scream flicks in preparation for Scre4m. Part three is the weakest, but still has it's moments (e.g. Randy's message from the grave). Looking forward to part four. COUNTESS PERVERSE Franco does "The most da...

Re: Official The Thing (2011) Trailer

Saw it at the cinema last week. It wasn't bad, but not as good as I had hoped. CGI is a mixed bag; mostly bad during the first half, but later creatures look quite good. For my taste too much information about the Thing's origins where revealed and the protagonist was kinda bland.

SEX AND THE CITY 2
A most misandric, misogynistic and racist film disguised as a high fashion promo reel.

A SERBIAN FILM I'm a bit disappointed by Srdjan Spasojevic's début. The notoriety it gained for it's disturbing portrayal of sexual violence is very well earned, but I found it to be lacking the substance to back it up. A really slick production, ultra violence fused with sexual deviance and some bl...

Re: John Carpenter's THE WARD

does he do the shitty synth soundtrack for this movie too? Nope. Some guy named Mark Kilian is credited for the score. I haven't heard the complete ost yet, but sampled a few songs and some are reminiscent of Carpenter's soundtrack stuff. This is good in my book. I like his shitty synths. http://ww...
