Re: What are you reading?

I read WHAT KIND OF MOTHER by Clay McLeod Chapman. Read it in two days because it was so good, I couldn't put it down. I'd already read his previous books GHOST EATERS and WHISPER DOWN THE LANE (Satanic Panic vibes) and he's becoming one of my favorite authors.

Creepshow 2
I always liked 2 better than the original. 3 was a waste.

What do you think of the TV series?

Re: 2023 Halloween Horror Movie Challenge Discussion Thread

I'm not participating in the challenge this year because I don't feel like keeping track of everything I'm watching. Feeling kinda lazy this year. But I highly recommend Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix. Also, The Fall of the House of Usher. Both excellent series.

Re: The Haunting of Hill House trailer (Netflix new series)

Did you guys pick up on the plot point that each of the kids represents the five stages of grief, and they're represented in birth order? No, and I don't see it. How so? Someone posted about it on Tumblr and Buzzfeed did a write-up about it. I thought it was really interesting. If you look at each ...

The last post was in August.
OMFG, I looked at the sidebar and saw the join date on AR's profile, not the post date at the top of the last post. :umm:

Re: What are you reading?

Ten years since the last post? I'm reviving this bitch! I've been reading The Field of Blood: Violence in Congress and the Road to Civil War by Joanne B. Freeman. Very interesting! It talks about some of the grittier aspects of Congress in the 1830s, 1840s, and 1850s leading up to the Civil War, wit...

Re: 2018 Halloween Horror Movie Challenge Discussion Thread

This may have already been covered (it's VERY early in the morning and I didn't have the inclination to scour through all the posts. sorry.) but are short films allowed? Cause HULU has some great horror shorts for HULUween that are about 5 minutes long and I've watched a few. They're pretty good.

Re: Stranger Things...

I watched the season. Couldn't resist and I'll probably watch it again this weekend. I don't like Billy. He's pointless. He has no character arch and his existence makes absolutely no sense. At least Max has a reason to be there - she's serving as a love interest for Lucas, driving a wedge between h...

Re: 2017 Halloween Horror Movie Challenge Discussion Thread

If anyone has Amazon Prime, they have TONS of B-grade (and most assuredly C-grade and D-grade) horror films. Last night I watched Society . WTF?!? :screwy: I know the director and effects people are some of the best in the industry, but that movie was disturbing on a whole 'nother level. Specificall...
