Re: Nightmare on Elm Street remake trailer.
I can see what you are saying, but it's not like Craven is suffering for coin, so I don't feel to bad about it. Yeah he got a shit deal, but what can you do. On one hand, I'm completely down with them taking another look at it without 'shoulda coulda woulda' (especially if you look at Craven's track...

The Crazies (2010) trailer
Say what you will about remakes, but The Crazies isn't going to suffer any with this one (not that I didn't enjoy it, it just wasn't all that).

Halloween Horror Movie Challenge
Totally stripping this from Spez's post over at BPR. "I think most of us know the drill for this but just in case, here's the basics. The goal is to watch as many horror movies as you can during the month of October. I think we were OK with DVDTalk's definition of what constitutes a horror movi...

Re: House
This show is repetitive nonsense. Did the new episode have House being a dick while trying to figure out a strange disease that turns out to be something pretty common? Because I think I saw that one already.   If I wanted to watch a grumpy, sarcastic, vicodin addicted genius, I'd j...

Re: Horror discussion #20 - The Burning (1981)
Completely fair. Considering what he's capable of (even at that time), it wasn't up to par to his prior work. Certainly still passable, but he could have done better.
To add, and somewhat related, the DVD picture is fantastic.

Re: Horror discussion #20 - The Burning (1981)
Caught this last night over Zig's and was pretty impressed (first time viewing). While it certainly borrows heavily from Friday the 13th, it's still a lot of fun with a whole slew of "that guy" actors in the mix. Savini's effects still hold up pretty well, and I give it a strong recommended.

I'll check out the trailer when I get home. Welcome to the forum. Ignore Spez. Scary movies frighten him.
