Re: Latest Horror Purchases

Alone in the Dark 1982 - ROCKS!

Written by Robert Shaye (President of New Line) and directed by Jack Sholder.
Three years later Sholder directed the super homo-erotic Elm Street 2.

Phase IV - slow paced ant movie. Still pretty effective.

Dead in 3 Days - a German variant on I Know What You Did Last Summer -that is actually pretty entertaining.

Compare and Contrast: Halloween III and Friday the 13th Pt. 5

Compare and Contrast:
Halloween III and Friday the 13th part 5

Compare and Contrast these films that mark a departure in the series as the signature villain is absent in both.

Re: Why? Why the Hell?

Who cares? If you don't like it then don't go see it. Will a remake of a movie really do anything to the original or how you feel about it? I don't know... if a movie gets a remake, the original gets ZERO attention online. Anchor Bay hasn't released Halloween since Zombie's remake. Maybe in time fo...

Re: Horror discussion #14 - House of Wax (1953)

I don't know why, but I've always liked the scene near the beginning where Carolyn Jones is getting dressed for her date. She puts on like six layers of clothes (in one long take) and yet remains quite thin at the end of the scene. Vincent Price is brilliant as always and indeed Bronson rocks. The r...

They're Playing With Fire, with Sybil Danning.
It starts as a softcore sex thriller that turns kinda slasher... man in a mask killing people.
Pretty entertaining.
