What are you reading?

Books, comics etc. anything that's on a page and not moving.

Just kidding. I've actually stopped reading fiction for the most part.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Since I'm watching the show, I figured I'd read the comics as well. I picked up the run of The Boys on a spectacular deal at HumbleBundle.

And . I thought the show was fucked up. Holy shit, the comic is even more so.

Finished these two, reviews coming soon. But both are terrific.

Now I'm doing these two for review:

And this one for my work's book club:

Oh! I also read this one last month. REALLY GREAT. Also just $1.99 right now.

Burner is an amazing book. Gonna be on my top 10 for 2021 I think. Just fucking fantastic.

I'm still in Children of Chicago. And I'm wrapping up Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, a quick read at 100 pages. VERY good. Very, very good. I'm praying it sticks the landing.

It's a quick read. It's only like 100 pages. $4.49 is a bit steep for a short story IMO, but it's definitely a good one.

In between others, I started Jody Smith's They're Here. The first sentence is great:
You don't know you're poor until someone else reflects that reality.
And it's just been rolling from there. Great book thus far.

Finished They're Here [review coming soon] (4/5) and Remote Medicine (3/5).

They're Here is pretty good. It grabbed me from the first line. It's basically about some weird shit going on in a hospital in town, and how a group of kids want to stop it. Definitely worth the $0.99 it's going for.

I don't remember how I came across Remote Medicine, but it was decent. Some dude goes to this town to try to buy land rights to drill. Crazy shit happens.

Still reading Children of Chicago, with Ronald Malfi's Come With Me up next. I'm also going to try and squeeze in Infested by Carol Gore because my goal is to review all the Rewind or Die books. :yay:

Dug it. Well worth the $0.99 it's currently priced at.

Finished Children of Chicago. I really enjoyed it. One thing that stands out is how the author incorporated the history of Chicago in the book.

Currently on Come With Me. It's Malfi, so it's bound to be good.
