I honestly can't see Neon NOT reading this.

Books, comics etc. anything that's on a page and not moving.

The Beasts of Valhalla (The Mongo Mysteries Book 4) by George C. Chesbro
With a genius IQ, a past career as a circus acrobat, and a black belt in karate, criminology professor Dr. Robert Frederickson—better known as “Mongo the Magnificent”—has a decidedly unusual background for a private investigator. He also just so happens to be a dwarf.

When Mongo’s sister asks him to investigate the death of his nephew, Tommy—the victim of an apparent murder-suicide—the private detective soon learns that everything’s tied to the computer game Tommy and his friends created: an elaborate quest based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. The clues send Mongo on a cross-country journey, from a painful visit to his former hometown in Nebraska and back to New York, then on to the rugged coastline of California’s Big Sur and, ultimately, the frozen depths of the Arctic Ocean, where a mad genius will stop at nothing to achieve total Armageddon.
You're damn right I bought this for $1.99.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Wow I may actually have to check these out one day. I can't believe the reviews on Amazon. Apparently this is a famous series in the Mysteries world, I've never heard of it before.

Right!!

When I came across it, I thought it was stupid and probably like one of those dinosaur sex books. But then I read the first two graphs in the read more and was impressed. THEN I saw it's a series with good reviews. WTF.

I was surprised by all the praise in the 'real' reviews. Meaning, actual review articles, not hillbillies on amazon. I've thought about reading mysteries again, and old detective fiction.
