Yes, another DDM video rant.

Judging by the captures in
Blu-ray.com's review,
Days of Thunder looks fucking awesome. Yet the reviewer states
"Days of Thunder isn't the sort of film that was tailor-made for the high definition treatment in the first place." and gives it a 3/5 star rating for video quality.
Martin Liebman, you are a stupid asshole without eyes. Again, judging from
these captures, it looks like one of the best catalog titles for its age on the Blu-ray.
I'm sorry, I know it shouldn't, but these "professional" Blu-ray reviewers with their websites piss me off daily in their not knowing shit and Shinola.
I really should email him and write
"you are a stupid asshole without eyes" a dozen times.

It's a giant NASCAR race - if that wasn't made for high definition, what is?
Idiot.
I saw another review (at a site I like) saying how this wasn't a big upgrade over the DVD release.
The DVD release isn't even anamorphic! I know. I own(ed) it.

What's not to like?
It's got all the good elements of "Top Gun" (except with race cars instead of planes).
Plus:
Robert Duvall instead of Tom Skerritt (face it, one guy's slumming, the other isn't);
Michael Rooker and Carey Elwes instead of Val Kilmer and, well, Val Kilmer (face it, one has Oscar potential, the others are, well, Henry and Westley);
Redneck quotables ("Rubbing, son, is racing...") instead of homoerotica (maybe a push for some of you);
Nicole Kidman's Australian accent ("Let me out of the caaaah! Let me out of the caaaah!");
and, of course,
a character named "Cole Trickle."
