Mindhunter (Netflix Original)

Post by Alien Redrum »

OMG. This show is amazeballs. I'm only 3 episodes in and it's hooked.

The guy who plays Edmund Kemper is on fucking point. I want to watch an entire show just about him. He's stealing the show here.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

IIRC, it's based on/around John E. Douglas, who was like the first FBI profiler. Or best or something.

Unrelated, Dan, if you could make the forum do gifs like Facbook (not me going out and looking for them, then putting in code and shit, I'm talking about having a search box where I can just search and click on a gif), I'd accept that in lieu of a like button.

I watched the first episode last night. I'm not sure on it. Apart from the pre-credits scene, the rest of the episode was entirely talking. I'm all for the story being set up, but I also like something actually happening in my TV dramas.

I'm suddenly reminded of the time when you said you didn't like a podcast because it was "too polished".

OMG DJ, listen to what they're saying. We like our TV wordy. Not everything can be a football match or Benny Hill chase 24/7. I'm sorry, but it can't. You are supposed to listen to things, over analyze it online, and help build the following. The West Wing was just people walking through hallways and talking. IT WAS THE HIGHEST RATED SHOW EVERRRRRRR.

You can't over analyze an action sequence. It's all about talking. Hell, even Walking Dead is mainly conversation.

A Benny Hill chase would have livened up the first episode. :facts:

I'd like that post. If I could. :(

A Benny Hill chase makes everything better. I about shit myself when one popped up in V for Vendetta. Seriously. It was probably one of the top 100 days of my life.

OK, so I binged episodes 2-8 on my recent holiday flights and I have to say I'm hooked. It is a wordy show for sure, but once they start to interview Ed Kemper it gets really good. I'm digging it.

Only 2 episodes left though, but season 2 has been announced so there's that.

I loved it. It took a couple eps. to get to the meat of it but so worth it. Well written and very well done.
