If I ever do decide to go "BLU" I think that player would be at the top of my list.
Have you tried it using the component outputs? And can you use the HDMI and component outs at the same time?

I use the hdmi output converting it to DVI at the source with a converter. I am only using the analog outs for audio letting the player do the decoding.
I figure this would be the best way to get more life out of the VSX-59TXi receiver since it doesn't have hdmi or Dolby HD/DTS-MA capacity either.
Incredible pic and audio out of this baby. Best BD, DVD or CD player ever made....
