IMDB Synopsis:
A newcomer to a fancy ballet academy gradually comes to realize that the staff of the school are actually a coven of witches bent on chaos and destruction.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

First, I'm glad 19itmicmac suggested a few films. Been a while since we've done this. Like two years.

Since pretty much everyone knows my feelings about Argento, no need to go into them again. I went with recommended because regardless of the lack of skill he has with story, visually this movie is gorgeous and horror fans should probably see it at least once if only for 'homework'.

The soundtrack is damn awesome, too. I listen to that often.

I'd like to also point out that the poster tells lies. :shake:

One of my all-time favorites, yes the special effects are terrible but we are talking about 1977 Italian horror of which most special effects are terrible. Overall though, the cinematography, atmosphere, and soundtrack are top-notch, plus the story is pretty good too. This film is just plain creepy! Argento may be arrogant but he is damn good at what he does.

If you are referring to it being "one of the scariest movies of all time", then you'd be right, it isn't going to send anyone home crying to their mama. It is however, one of the creepiest movies of all time.

I voted Rent It, because there's probably no place left in the world that you can rent it, now that Hollywood and Blockbuster are gone. And if you have a small indie shop that rents DVDs, you should go there and see if they have it, because they probably have a lot of better movies to rent instead.

It was okay. Not an Argento fan. I know a lot of people are, I'm cool with that, but he's no Michael Bay.

You post here once every 6 months and only to defend Argento.

I gotta defend the guy too, love his work, in fact I love a lot of 70's Italian horror but that's just me.

70's Italian horror can be really good, or really bad, I think it's just all a matter of which ones fit your taste. I'm partial to the really bad Italian zombie flicks filmed in the Philippines, myself.

I know Jungle Holocaust and Zombi 3 were filmed there, what are some others?
