The Terror (2018) TV Show

Post by shiki-jitsu »

I’m watching the first season of this. It’s fantastic. It’s on Hulu and Season 2 is currently airing on AMC. Each season is a different story based on a historical event. The first season is based on the doomed expedition of the HMS Terror and HMS Erebus for the northwest Passage in the 1840s.

Highly recommend. Bit of a slow burner for some I am sure but very well done.

Did you read the book by chance? I heard it's great.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

I did not read the book, I could see it being a good read. The show feels like a book if you know what I mean.

I finished season 1 last night. I liked it a lot. It's 10 episodes, but like most of these kinds of shows it probably should have been 8. Takes a bit in the beginning to get where it needs to be. And jesus christ it is hard to tell pasty brits apart, so keeping track of who is who is hard based solely on style of facial hair

It's good. The last episode has a few elements I do not like in it. Just directorial decisions that I thought cheapened it as a whole that I won't go into yet. Story is solid. Creepy and based in reality with just the right amount of fantastical horror.

Yes, Season 1 is on Hulu. Season 2 is currently airing on AMC and on demand.

Here is the season 2 trailer, completely unrelated to Season 1... and has a sligihtly different name. The Terror: Infamy.

With all these networks doing their own fucking 'on demand' now, I'm so glad I have a special box to see all these.

Fucking greedy fucks. They are doing nothing but encouraging piracy.
