That video is not available outside of your island prison. What's the name of it?

Gosh, I had no idea. It's Wounds (2019).

Apparently the story is great (the story it was based on). I have it and will read it eventually.

I'm actually feeling guilty on how badly I'm doing this year.

I re-watched Terrifier on Saturday. It's slightly better than the first time I saw it, but holy fuck does this get way too much praise. It's got nice gore and a cool villain, but fuck me, it's so trope and predictable and just average.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Here's the US trailer. It's available on HULU.

Yeah, I saw it for the first time Saturday. Agreed. The story's okay, the film is made well, and the villain is interesting, but it's not OMGWTFBBQ like people make it out to be. But then Slashers are at the bottom of my list of faves. Predictable and average are good descriptors

That's actually a great point. Outside of my favorites (Ft13th, etc.), slashers just don't do it for me anymore. Probably because we lived through them when they were new and original.

I think that may be a part of it for sure. The last time I was impressed with a slasher was Scream, I think. If you like that kinda thing, Terrifier would've been good, I think. I'd watch a follow up of it. I don't hate it. It just didn't knock my socks off.

I think I hate it more because of all the praise it gets from rabid fanboys. And the acting, holy hell the acting is garbage. And the writing.

Actually I just hate it.

I think a lot of people are easy to please. Or maybe these are the people who have no internal monologue so they're not questioning the movie or complaining about it internally they're just along for the ride like everything else in life because they can't really think properly. Not like us real people.

30th October - Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight - Netflix - :2stars:

This popped up on Netflix so I gave it a chance. Polish language slasher movie that brings together a whole mishmash of ideas and some fairly gory set pieces into a whole that’s surprisingly lacking in fun for how it looks on paper.

30th October - Relic (Screener) - :1star:

Jesus shitting Christ, I hate that horror is becoming this. The trend set by any movie by A24, The Lodge, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House etc. for slow, boring films that try to appeal to wanky film critics who can spunk their thesaurus all over the reviews of the films. Utterly miserable, dreary and unappealing. I get it, I'm not stupid, it's a study of the pain of losing a loved one to a degenerative disorder like Alzheimer's, but damn it just saps the life out of me and the fun out of horror when films are like this.

I was pretty much on par. I only didn't log 3 or 4 (and none of the TV shows).

I'm a little bummed about my performance. I'll make up for it next year.

Next year there won't be a Halloween and we'll all be dead.

Whatever happened to Shiki? Where did he go? That's a more pressing issue right now.
