Movie Zines/Magazines
What Movie Magazines/Zines are you reading these days?
Re: Movie Zines/Magazines
What is the difference between a magazine and a zine? Is a zine just a hipster version of a magazine?

Are they still around?
Someone should tell these zine publications about this new thing called "the internet".

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

I was shocked to find that paper zines are still quite popular in the Noise community... granted these are still people that prefer to release their albums exclusively on cassette tapes.Alien Redrum wrote:Are they still around?

There's a shop here that exclusively sells zines. It's been around for years.

While the internet may killed alot of Zines/publications there are still A LOT of them still around. The ones that have stayed around have really gotten better so while the quantity of zines may have gone down the Quality of them just get better and better,I will take a zine over a website any day of the week.

I usually read Entertainment Weekly, People, or MacWorld. Occasionally I'll pick up a Highlights to see what Goofus and Gallant are up to.

I picked up a Highlights the other day in the dentist office for that exact same reason and I noticed the artwork for Goofus and Gallant has dramatically changed since I was a kid.Spez wrote:I usually read Entertainment Weekly, People, or MacWorld. Highlights can go fuck itself.

You just don't understand the artist's vision for the characters.Alien Redrum wrote:I picked up a Highlights the other day in the dentist office for that exact same reason and I noticed the artwork for Goofus and Gallant has dramatically changed since I was a kid.Spez wrote:I usually read Entertainment Weekly, People, or MacWorld.
