The AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL is currently accepting submissions for the 2015 Film Competition, especially in the "Dark Matters" category!

Known as “The Writer’s Festival” since its inception 22 years ago, AFF celebrates films built on strong storytelling.

We recognize the importance of the creator at the core of filmmaking and screens the highest caliber narrative, documentary and animated films — all of which demonstrate the power of a well-told story. Each year we honor the winners of our competition alongside legends of the industry, who have included Jonathan Demme, Harold Ramis, Vince Gilligan, Johnny Depp, Ron Howard, and Judd Apatow. Additionally, the Jury Award winners of our Narrative, Documentary and Animated Short categories qualify for an Academy Award.

Our final deadline for the film competition is July 10th. Don´t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this festival!!

What makes the Austin Film Festival unique among other festivals is its emphasis on screenwriting. In addition to filmmaking awards, the festival celebrates innovative work in both screenplay and teleplay writing. The AFF also includes a conference component with breakout groups and talks led by leaders in the television and film industry. The event is often attended by Hollywood heavyweights and is known for being a launching point for gifted screenwriters and filmmakers.
