So I went to see this at the weekend (after watching the original movie the night before). Really fucking good, stands on its own as a Top Gun movie - if you hadn't seen the first or had forgotten the story it's all recapped within - and the flight scenes are stunning. It really plays with your expectations in some scenes, planting some funny scenes where you're expecting emotion and/or a gung-ho approach.

I'm signing up to both the Church of Scientology and the US Air Force this week as it happens. Both are entirely unrelated.
