'Friday the 13th' to Slash it's Way to Blu-ray

Paramount is preparing to bring a special edition of the 1980 slasher classic 'Friday the 13th' to Blu-ray this February.
The low-budget sleeper that would go on to spawn a seemingly-unending series of sequels, 'Friday the 13th' will receive its high-def premiere in a never-before-seen (in the U.S.) unrated version.
Timed to coincide with the upcoming theatrical release of the 'Friday the 13th' remake, Paramount has set a lucky day of February 3 for the Blu-ray (day-and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue).
Tech specs will see remastered the unrated "International" cut of the film in 1080p video and English Dolby Digital 1.0 Mono audio.
Confirmed extras include audio commentary with director Sean Cunningham, a quartet of featurettes ("Fresh Cuts: New Tales from Friday the 13th," "Man Behind the Legacy: Sean S. Cunningham," "Friday the 13th - Special Reunion," "Lost Tales from Camp Blood - Part 1") and the domestic theatrical trailer.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan
