I am going to refrain from calling you retarded for saying Dog Soldiers entertains more than Aliens.walls wrote:Loved it!! I love the fact that it has good old fashioned monsters and not "computer painted" ones, also the cast is great.
If I could change just one thing about this film it would be the quality of the DVD transfer, its not bad by any means but it has quite a bit of "enhancement" that at times takes away from the film.
On a side note I watched ALIENS last night and I think that this film actually entertains more than Aliens........of course it may be that i have seen Aliens at least 50 times.
Yeah, I've got to cosign this one.kangas wrote: I am going to refrain from calling you retarded for saying Dog Soldiers entertains more than Aliens.
This is me refraining.
But I also enjoyed Dog Soldiers quite a bit. Best werewolf movie I've seen in 15 years.
Better said than I did! I think one of the strengths of this movie, and subsequently The Descent, is the very believable characters. The soldiers are full of bravado, but still get scared when faced with something that they've never encountered. I absolutely love the fight between Spoony and the werewolf in the kitchen, it actually looks like he's fighting for his life, using anything he can get his hands on as a weapon and channelling all his fear and aggression into the fight.
Realistic, gritty, strong characters, plenty of gore and a great story. Highly Recommended.
