Resident Alien (Peacock)
Started watching this. I am enjoying it so far, only a few eps into Season 1. Alan Tudyk is really good in this, and honestly its a fantastic cast

Re: Resident Alien (Peacock)
I watched it when it was first on Peacock and enjoyed it. It's the scifi version of Reservation Dogs. Be warned, it ends on a cliffhanger and never comes back. Worth the watch though.

I think you are either thinking of another show, or there was a long break, but Season 3 is currently airing now. There may have been a break during the strike?Neon Maniac wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 1:23 pm I watched it when it was first on Peacock and enjoyed it. It's the scifi version of Reservation Dogs. Second time this comes recommended to me. After I finish up Res Dogs, I'll jump in on this.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Re: Resident Alien (Peacock)
I'm definitely thinking about this show, I didn't realize that it was airing again though. It's been gone for a while, it ended early fall 2022, and wasn't around at all in 2023. I'm glad to hear that it's airing again because it was a good show. When I saw that peacock had given up on it and it was on Netflix I figured for sure that meant it was gone for good. Peacock tends to hang on to current shows.shiki-jitsu wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 2:26 pm

What I liked about it was that it seemed to bypass a lot of the formulaic TV nonsense, and do its own thing. Now that I know it's going to have season 3 I'm going to probably start watching this again.

It reminds me a bit of People of Earth (helps that the bartender of The 59 was also on People of Earth) and that show was cancelled way too early.

Is that BBC? It looks cheap like BBC scifi
I'll watch the trailer when I have time, thanks for the link.

Re: Resident Alien (Peacock)
True.
That's why I've never heard of it. I don't have cable so Ted Turner is not part of my life. One day he will let his great-great-grandkids take over and build a streaming platform. Is he still married to Hanoi Jane? It's probably her fault.

I agree, it looks pretty good. Fuck you Hanoi Ted and Hanoi Jane! This is why we shouldn't let the libtards run TV.

Re: Resident Alien (Peacock)
Watched the first couple of episodes last night and digging it. Good blend of comedy, drama and mystery. I hope they can keep that going through three seasons.shiki-jitsu wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 6:37 am Started watching this. I am enjoying it so far, only a few eps into Season 1.
