My Bloody Valentine 3D

Post by Sham »

Anyone check it out?

I saw it last Thursday (the 15th) at a 10:00 showing. Lots of fun. Everyone in the theater was really involved.

As a movie, I'll admit it's pretty mediocre, but in 3D, it transcends the screen and becomes an experience. I really liked the shovel death in the opening scene, which was a nice nod to both Wrong Turn and Day of the Dead.

And special kudos to Betsy Rue for her completely nude chase scene. Amazing.

Is the whole movie in 3D or just parts of it? I got jipped during the last Harry Potter movie that was marketed as being in 3D but it was really only the last 20 minutes or so. By that point, I was just trying to punch Harry and his stupid friends.

I like how you added that last sentence to try and regain any sense of heterosexuality.

I got to see MBV3D and really enjoyed it while it was on.
The 3D was a nice touch throughout, but the script is really lacking.
Todd Farmer also wrote Jason X, and features a small acting role in both... but is naked here. :scared:

Basic plot 101 is tossed in favor of some fun gory set pieces (with really cheap looking sets.) I was surprised by how ghetto some of this movie looks (in both production design and cinematography), but I enjoyed it overall as a nice 80s throw back.
Patrick Lussier (Dracula 2000) has made a fun movie, but I wish he had a better script and a stronger DP.

It's not like I saw Kitt Kitteridge: American Girl in 3D, OK? It was Harry Friggin' Potter. Me and David had a great time when we went with Mrs. White's 2nd grade class.

Kitt Kitteridge was awesome. I'm still hoping for a sequel.

Finally got around to seeing it. Yeah, it was fun. The 3D was very cool. The extra $2 for it was a little ridiculous though.

I totally kept my glasses. That will teach 'em!

A fun movie. Not as good as the (now) uncut original, but still fun.
