Hmmph, i guess they don't know movie history. Everyone including punk's favorite crime movie is a remake of the 1932 Howard Hawks classic.

I think most film fans probably know, but not your average person.

Speaking of which, I'm surprised the rap community didn't embrace Black Caeser as their ideological movie, because Black Caeser >>>>>> Scarface. Plus the main character is a black guy.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

QFT.

Most people don't care if it's a remake either.

I'll give you a QFT of your own.

That's something I do giggle about when remakes are announced is the fact that no one outside of the movie film boards cares. Something film geeks* can't graspy.

*note, film geeks is not a slam, as I'm film geeky myself.

Scarface is one of the most most dated, unwatchable films ever made, IMHO.

I still like Scarface. Love the fact De Palma denied those rappers' idea to overdub the movie with hip hop. Giorgio Moroder FTW, niggaz !

TCM original is unwatchable though.
