What are you reading?

Books, comics etc. anything that's on a page and not moving.

Finished The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. Awesome book. Beautiful descriptive writing. Already one of my favorites.

Went ahead and picked up Barker's The Inhuman Condition because I was so impressed.

I'm reading this now too. I'll have to come back to read all the spoiler tags.
Finished this the other day. I thought it was OK, but it lost a ton of steam by the end. It started off strong and then just meandered into a Dean Koontz ending.
Spoiler:
The little boy needs a family and oh look, here's Mary who had a miscarriage and needs someone to love. Togetherness!

That's a perfect way to describe my thoughts on it too.

Finished Barker's The Inhuman Condition.

Title story was pretty good; Revelations! and Down, Satan! were just okay; The Age of Desire was probably the weirdest, but most interesting.

But the overall best story, hands down, was The Body Politic. Awesome idea that's just begging to be a full-length movie (and no, Idle Hands doesn't count).

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

My wife loves his books. I've never read any. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I loved that one. That's the only one I've read. I'm afraid to read more and be disappointed.

Read Santaland Diaries. It's short and it's hillarious. It's about the season he was an elf at Macy's in Herald Square. It should be on the server.

Finished Born Standing Up by Steve Martin.

Really good memoir. Funny, enlightening, touching, and often sad for a story about success and fame. Thumbs up from me.

I'm just starting Jim Butcher's Grave Peril. It's book #3 in the Harry Dresden books. I'm enjoying this series so far. It's way better than the Dresden Files TV show. The first book was great, the second not as good but still entertaining. Highly reccomended so far. No opinion on the current one yet.
