What are you reading?
Just finished up Rosemary's Baby. Pretty enjoyable. I liked it a lot. Now to obtain a copy of the movie without purchasing it. FUCK YOU CHILD MOLESTER!
Reading a hard case crime book now, but I forgot the title.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Sorry, you can never, ever, never ever spin it that he did not molest a child. Ever.
(On the bright side, though, there were no magical negroes in RB, so you might like it. )

Who is to blame more, the mother or him?Alien Redrum wrote:Sorry, you can never, ever, never ever spin it that he did not molest a child. Ever.
Nevermind.
We just need to agree to disagree on this.

I'm currently reading:
The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril
It's not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be. The cover looks awesome though.

the eyes of the dragon by stephen king.... can not put it down!
Re: What are you reading?
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
This is one of the very few instances where the movie is better than the book. I was very disappointed the entire time I was reading it. I don't think I'll ever pick up anything by John Boyne again. His style of writing cheapens any story he has to tell.
For example:
"Come, come," said Father, wanting to have none of that. "Let's have none of that."
or
"The servants still came and washed things and swept things and cooked things and cleaned things and took things away and kept their mouths shut unless they were spoken to."
And so on, and so on.
Now I'm perfectly capable of accepting writing like this every once in a while, but when every paragraph is written this way, I am completely drawn away from the story.
It's a short book, but tough to finish. See the movie.

Because AR doesn't take my posts seriously
Re: What are you reading?
Just finished I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan. Not too bad. I kinda felt cheated by the ending, especially considering the bad guy's crucial revelation scene would never work as a movie. I'm so glad screenwriter Kevin Williamson changed it up and found something else that got the job done.

A Child Called "It"
Wow. Just unbelievable. Read the whole thing in a couple hours because I couldn't put it down. Now I feel drained and completely speechless.
Bravo, Dave Pelzer. This is exactly how you get back at The Bitch.

Re: What are you reading?
Just started reading The Alienist. I'm only about 4 chapters in, but it's not bad so far.
Re: What are you reading?
I'm about a third of the way through and I'm really liking it so far. It's like a documentary.
