I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

It's a really drawn out legal issue. And in solidarity I REFUSE to alter the site until a resolution is made in Eddie's favor!!!!!

Red State
Just watched this and all I can say is that this was a huge piece of shit. WTF? Kevin Smith had gotten bad, but I didn't realize he'd gotten this bad. And there was supposed to be some kind of controversy about this movie? Was the controversy that it sucked shit and made very little sense?

Why did you watch it if you think his movies are loaded with hobgoblins?
That's like me watching the new Argento and bitching about his direction.

That's why I finally got around to watching this on Netflix. And you know what? It wasn't a horror film, not at all. It was kind of a rip off of several real life incidents all stuck together.Alien Redrum wrote: I'm very curious to see how Smith handles a horror film.

Clerks/Clerks 2: Loaded with hobgoblins
Mall Rats: Hobgoblin free
Chasing Amy: Small hobgoblins, you barely notice them.*
Zach and Miri: It's got one hobgoblin, but it's a huge one and it eats your face.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back: hobgoblins, but you expect them so they're part of the party. They do wear on though.
Dogma: Almost escaped the hobgoblins, but Jay and Silent Bob brought their own.
Jersey Girl: Tempted to say it's hobgoblin free, but the whole movie is a hobgoblin so it fools you.
*All the hobglins in Chasing Amy are chased away by Black Power!
Red State: Written/Directed/Produced and starring hobgoblins. Even John Goodman and Steven Root are hobgoblins here.
Were any of those questions about why he sucked so bad?Spez wrote:Kevin Smith started up a new podcast called Red State of the Union where he's answering questions from the fans about the movie. No press allowed.

I thoroughly disagree, obnoxious stoners in their 30's are always funny.Al wrote:Maybe in this film we'll finally see the end of Jay and Silent Bob (obnoxious stoners in their thirties are not funny). Maybe a brutal and bloody revenge from the guy in the Easter Bunny suit.

Re: Red State wraps.
After watching the trailer I'm a bit confused, doesn't look much like a horror movie, thriller maybe, but not horror. I'll still watch it because I do like Kevin Smith films and so I'll give it a shot.

Re: Red State wraps.
It's definitely not a horror movie. It's a movie highly inspired by the craigslist killer and Waco. It's fairly silly.

I'll make my own decision about whether it's silly or not, you don't care for Kevin Smith, I do, therefore it's possible that I may enjoy it. I really disagreed with everything you said about his movies, I think they are hilarious.Neon Maniac wrote:It's definitely not a horror movie. Re: Red State wraps.
Yes, of course make your own decision. I actually like Kevin Smith, at least until he became too much like Kevin Smith. So you disagree with the hobgoblin content of his movies? I'm okay with that.
