I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Re: Favorite Asian movies!?
Happiness of the Katakuris - by far my favorite Miike film. Equal parts black comedy, horror, drama and even some stop motion animation thrown in. Pure insanity.
Breaking News - Johnny To has quickly become my favorite Asian director working today and this is, what I think is, the best example of what he has to offer. Think Michael Mann meets John Woo and you're on the right track. The opening one shot shoot out has to be seen to be believed.
A Tale of Two Sisters - Korean cinema has really been picking up lately and Kim Je-Woon is one of the more interesting, and versatile, filmmakers to work from there (he's also responsible for A Bittersweet Life, The Good the Bad the Weird and The Quiet Family). This film is just down right eerie. It manages to avoid cliches (most, anyway) and actually be intelligent at the same time it is being scary.
Hausu - This shit is just ridiculous. It has a killer piano and lampshade. If that doesn't do anything for you than don't even bother.
Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky - I imagine most have at least heard of this, if not already seen it. Lots of gore, horrible dialogue and some really goofy humor. Yeah, it's fun.
Love/Exposure - Without trying to be hyperbolic, this may be the best Asian film I saw in the past decade. It is 4 hours long but never boring. I don't even quite know how to sum it up. Basically, it is from Sion Sono (director of Suicide Club) and is some sort of amalgamation of all of the best qualities of Luis Bunuel, Takashi Miike and even John Hughes. This is not a horror film, but it really can't be tied to one genre. I'm going to give up trying to describe it, just watch the trailer:
