Alien Redrum wrote:If you are talking about just the part with the kids in the cabin, I think that's the point. While I didn't find it disappointing or boring, it certainly (intentionally) followed the typical pattern of horror movies, then BAM! That's why the second half is So Good. And it makes the movie as a whole so tremendous.
Totally this^

Even the "other locations" were a great addition to build on the standards of horror from different countries.

I guess I just have a problem with everyone exalting this movie into the stratosphere of horror classics of all time. Whatever the intention, on purpose or not, the first half, for me, was tedious. I also wasn't scared, ONCE. And isn't that the point? Don't get me wrong, I still recommend it, but Christ, let's all take a quick breather from sucking Whedon's cock, shall we?

It definitely wasn't scary but having watched as many horror movies as I have, most horror movies are not scary any more. I like it because of the humor.

It's nice to see Fred again. But so far, all I have to say is, "Ho hum, so that's what happened to the people who experimented on vampires below Buffy's college campus."
