Holy hell do I love that teaser.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Yeah, it gives me some hope that Carrie will finally be done right.

God bless you, sir (or madam).

The TV show was a little closer, but because it wanted to be a series, the ending was off.

I have never seen the original, I cant stand Sissy Spacek.

I will wait for this to hit Blu before seeing it unless it gets really great reviews.

I don't know what to think about Julianne Moore as Carrie's mother. I think they could've gone crazier.

I'm excited for it, too.

I'll be honest, the '70s version is exceptionally well-made and one of my very favorite movies, but it's not a good representation of the book King wrote. It looks like this version will have the scope of the mini-series but the talent and budget to see it all the way through.

Now that I've seen the longer trailer, Julianne Moore plays crazy quite well.

I thought it was pretty good. I like Julianne Moore as the religious mother and the supporting cast (Billy Nolan, Tommy Ross, Sue Snell were all terrific), but Chloe Grace Moretz seemed oddly out of place as Carrie. She did what she could with the role, but I didn't truly pity her, and that stood out to me in a negative way. I will say, this version one has one of the best, most satisfying death sequences I've seen in a movie in years.

I agree with everything here except the Moretz criticism. I truly felt for her character and thought she knocked it out of the park.

Billy was much better here than in the first version, and Sue and Tommy were surprisingly likable.

When they were at the prom and getting all close during the dance, I kept thinking, "Don't be a douche, Tommy, don't be a douche, Tommy, don't kiss her." And he didn't. So it was cool.

But I really dug this. Not a WHOLE lot, but it no way deserves the hate it got/gets. If this came out first, people would have no problem with.

The only issue I really have with it is:
Spoiler:
"It's a girl. You didn't know?" TELEKINETICS DON'T HAVE THAT FUCKING POWER WHAT THE FUCK HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCKADOODIE CAH.

And in the book, didn't the stoning happen at her birth and not her death, or was it both?

I really liked this version. I actually went and seen it twice while it was in theaters and currently own it. It has it's comedic moments when it goes a little over the top but what horror movie doesn't? I think Julianne Moore was a great actress, most disagree, and I found Chloe to be a more sympathetic version of Carrie simply because sissy spacek irritated the living shit out of me lol.

Sincerely,
