fuck the fan boys. I think this looks awesome. I like the new take on the fast hoarde zombie action.

however, I also thought the book was boring as fuck.

Yeah, that trailer looks awesome. I'm interested to see this and how they adapted the book.

Well as far as zombie films go this one was good enough. I enjoyed how it all started and enjoyed some of the close up action as the Z's were fast as fuck and them blindly running off buildings and such was interesting, oh and the airplane scene was awesome. lol.

I did not however like the fact that the zombies did not EAT people they just BIT them to turn them, and I also had a slight problem with them turning in less then 15 seconds.

I would say that it is in the very least a good rental, or if you want to rock your home theater its a good buy as the 7.1 soundstage is really well done.

I still haven't seen it. I think I'll be disappointed since it's really got nothing to do with the book, from what I understand. You should send it to me to watch, Walls. I can't promise that I won't sell it on Ebay though.

I liked the book, but I've heard the movie is nothing like the book (which is not necessarily bad). So I'm intrigued. It's on my "to watch" list, but as y'all can probably tell from my Horror Movie Month list, that doesn't get churned through too fast.

Dug this. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Love the fast zombies, too.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Watched it at the weekend. Haven't read the book. While I didn't think it was as bad as has been made out, it still left me pretty cold. Zombies were too CGI'd up and never really felt real (as real as imaginary characters in an imaginary universe can be). They reminded me a lot of the things in I am Legend in the way they moved.

Yep, and loved it. Frankly, the book would suck as a film. It's not made for a movie. If they had simply changed the title of the film, it wouldn't have gotten much of the negative press. Hollywood is stupid.

I agree. I think as an adaptation to a very popular book, it failed miserably. If it had just been some stupid movie where brad pitt saves the world from zombies, it would be prett good.

I don't believe in books, so in my world it was just some stupid movie where Brad Pitt saves the world from zombies. But it wasn't very good.

I actually thought the way the fast zombies were portrayed accounted for the film's tension. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, though (as others have said) it's nothing like the book. Which I also enjoyed.
