Rob Thomas wanted to do a Veronica Mars movie. The studio said there's no interest. He said there was. They said nuh uh. He said uh huh. They said, well if you raise two million bucks, we'll let you make your stupid movie (because they own the rights).

He raised almost three times that.

I love Veronica Mars. I did not donate. I can't bring myself to donate to someone who has the goddamn funds to do it without my help.
