When the electricity goes away, I'll still have plenty to read, SIR.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

This whole back and forth has been pointless. Shiki has ignored it so we'll never know if he's in or not.

I don't like the smell of paper and ink.
I don't like buying magic air that nobody else can use/read except for me. You are both swallowing the kool aid of 1 off capitalism. For decades media producers have been crying about how they only sell a book/movie/album once, but it can go on and on being sold and resold, gifted, traded, borrowed, etc. for years after that initial one time purchase. And you know what? Digital finally fixed that for them. And instead of taking the correct view of siding with the users, you are both wontonly jumping into the back seat of 1 off ownership, believing that paying $10 for magic air that only you can use is somehow better than paying less for something that dozens or hundreds of people will use. You are the moronic consumer the media companies have been having wet dreams over. Enjoy.

Purchased as I am a team player.
I agree Neon, I was always one against amazon and the kindle for that reason. But after trying a few different readers the kindle is one of the best options for price and quality ... despite amazon itself. I can’t think of a time I have spent more than a few bucks on an ebook and most times I try to find a good free version. I like physical books, but I just don’t realistically have the room for them anymore.

So what now? A chapter or two a week? I've never been in a book club before.

Re: Official Horror DNA Book Club Thread
IT WAS RON'S IDEA. >:(
I would recommend we all read at the same pace so we can all kind of enjoy it together at the same time. Isn't that what a book club does? I don't know.
I figured you'd read some chapters, discuss them, read some more, etc. I figured if someone got ahead, they might be annoyed waiting for everyone else to catch up.
I'M NEW TO THIS.

I agree we ideally should pace ourselves. But, i'm not making promises.

I don't know how long Pony Express will take to deliver the manuscript he ordered.
