I started the thread. I didn't start this. You guys did, in a post I didn't see for 2 years. So don't blame this on me. smh
shiki-jitsu wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 3:14 am I agree Neon, I was always one against amazon and the kindle for that reason. But after trying a few different readers the kindle is one of the best options for price and quality ... despite amazon itself. I can’t think of a time I have spent more than a few bucks on an ebook and most times I try to find a good free version. I like physical books, but I just don’t realistically have the room for them anymore.
No, you don't agree. I don't think you get it, because this has nothing to do with the quality of the Kindle or my attitudes towards Amazon. I don't even like physical books. I just don't *pay* for magic air. It doesn't matter about the device or the format. I won't pay $8 for a favored author since I can't pass it along. If I pay, I want life out of the item. Magic air has no life. It's all electric death.

Enjoy your electric death.

I don't think anyone is actually reading ANYTHING I've written here.

I have no qualms with ereaders or kindles. I've got a Fire and my OG Kindle. I use the OG Kindle often.

I enjoy reading them. I think they're great. My hands don't cramp like they do with a heavy book. I can adjust the text and it always looks better than a paper book. I like that.

But the books I read on them? I download them for free. I don't pay shits or giggles for anything on it. I don't even give thoughts and prayers. I'm not against ereaders. I'm all for those motherfuckers. I'm against paying for magic air that nobody else can use. If I'm shelling out filthy lucre, it's going to be hard goods. Something I can sell or give away. Fuck greedy publishers. One red cent for magic air is one red cent too much.

tl;dr:

Ereaders good.
Magic air bad.

If you remember back in those days of the Sony eReader...

I told you that I bought it so I could read downloaded ebooks on it. I never ONCE told you or any other mothertrucker that I bought it so I could pay for magic air. You'll also remember that I suggested (and we did) that we have a library of downloaded ebooks.

I’m starting now. Let’s do the first 3 chapters by Tuesday? And from there we can see the timing works and break down the rest of the book and dates.

I'm sure we would. He'd tell me all about the ways you disappoint him and I'd sit there and shake my head. Then when you walked in he'd look at me, and I'd look at him and we'd laugh and you'd be standing there going, "What?" And we'd just keep laughing and say, "Nothing" but you'd know it was something.

Trump wants you to give him all of your money for all of his magic air. Again, has nobody read ANYTHING I've written here? JFC.
