I think someone's trying to hard to fit those together. Just my opinion.

That was my take when I read it. Some of them are real stretches IMO. You could honestly argue each one of the stages for any of the characters.

Yeah, I think it's one of those things that people want a little too hard so they attempt to stretch it around places it doesn't necessarily fit.

This was bothering me so I went to see if there was a confirmation from the writer and the only thing is that he RTed the buzzfeed article and said "Good catch..." which honestly doesn't really confirm anything for me. He could just be latching on to it as well. Even in the replies to that people are saying that other kids would be better at certain stages.

I will say this, I was re-watching some of the episodes as my wife decided to see what the hullabaloo was about, and a lot of the weaknesses that I dismissed on first watch really stand out. She, of course, is not a fan of it... one of my favorite complaints she has about it was that she could just watch ThirtySomething for the same flawed human relationships. But the one thing we did talk about was how it doesn't quite know what kind of horror does it want to be. It goes from trying to be spooky in one moment to having cartoonish Disney-like horror in the next between some of the makeup choices and ghost designs. It is kind of goofy at times. I was definitely sensing that on my original watch but couldn't articulate it. Rewatching it really highlights it. And on rewatching I see how much I really don't like some of the characters and casting choices. (I am looking at you older Luke).
