This has to be one of the best written television shows on TV.
I was just thinking of Jackie Daytona and how badly I want to see him again. And he appeared back in season 2.
God, I miss Jackie Daytona and his toothpick.

Spoiler:
I watched it earlier today but am on my phone now and don’t feel like typing it all out on this lol.
Colin Robinsons fucking cool teacher had me dying. His “I’d rather be reading Bukowski” bumper sticker line had me rolling.
All the creatures calling Gizmo daddy
More to come

Spoiler:
I would say that overall this was probably the weakest episode of the season, but its still an above average episode IMO. Really good writing, just maybe felt a little too disjointed. The Nadja/Colin Robinson/Nandor storyline just felt very disconnected from the Gismo/Lazlo story. Almost like two not fully fleshed out ideas that they slammed together... not as a filler episode, but to get from point a to b in the gizmo transformation story, and shoehorned in a b story.
I do think the Colin Robinson part was the best though. His cool teacher persona was just dead on. Having class out on the quad. And finding Nandors things at the museum was hilarious too.

This perfectly sums up my feelings as well. A LOT of great stuff in the episode, but it felt a bit disjointed. Like they had this stuff left over and put it all in one episode.
However, still better than 90% of anything else on TV and still funny as shit.
The entire Colin Fucking Robinson story was the absolute best. Then Nandor's wardrobe.
I also thought it was super cool what Colin did for Nandor. Sweet, even. I don't think he would have done this without Laszlo's influence on him when he was a child. No, seriously.

You may be right, but it's always difficult to judge the motives of Colin Robinson. He's a tough nut to crack and an unreliable narrator. I like the idea that Laszlo's influence made him kinder
It was disjointed. I blamed Kerri Kenney, because she always throws things off for me when she appears in something. She's either good or bad and it's always hard to say.
I can't believe how little the Guide has been in this season. I think her entire screen time this season has been less than her screen time in one episode in previous seasons.
I kind of felt that they could've separated the school plot and the curse plot better

I wonder if she's going to come back hard in the back half of the season. The writing is so solid on this show, it's like everything is deliberate.
Like...the season with the witches. If you go back to the first episode of that season, you'll see Nadja talking about witches here and there. It's all so throwaway. Then EVERYTHING comes together in that one episode.
So I'm wondering if it's all part of the plan. I think this because she's in the opening credits. So clearly they have a plan, you know?
But I agree, she's really underutilized right now.

You could be right, we'll have to wait and see. I'm also sad that we haven't had more of the baron and the master, they're always awesome. I do kind of have to wonder if behind the scenes everyone was pushing to make the guide a regular cast member because she's there all the time and once they did that the writers got mental blocks because now they have another cast member to write for, whereas before it was just hey here's something we can put the guide into.
