Expedition X ( new Josh Gates show) 2020
Josh Gates is back again.
Watching the first episode on demand right now, feels very much like a mix of Fact or Faked and Destination Truth. Sadly no Jael de Pardo in this one
First episode is on Mothman. Will update after I finish it.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Re: Expedition X ( new Josh Gates show) 2020
I was wondering what happened when Expedition Unknown started only showing recut versions as "new" episodes. Though it seems like there is a new season of Unknown coming as well. My issue with EU was that it mainly focuses on non-paranormal cases and I always prefer the paranormal. X should fill that void.
I haven't watched the whole episode as I fell asleep shortly after posting last night, no fault of the show. But I will say this. Josh really played the part of the leader and sent out the other team members to do the actual investigation. I hope this isn't the case for the full episode, or for future episodes. Part of what makes his shows great are his interactions with the teams and the locals when he is on location. Hopefully will finish this ep up later today and can give more feedback.

Oh, man. Yeah, I totally agree with you. Josh is fucking hilarious when he gets condescending with the locals.
I hope that's not the case too. I don't want to watch a bunch of let's rock-and-rollers.

Ooo I just saw that Josh Gates is coming to a couple of theaters near me later this year. After Neon's review of Randy's Cheeseburger Picnic I am a little wary of seeing TV personalities live though.

I've seen a lot of live TV people, and that was the only bad experience. So, I'd still go.
I'm not a fan of Josh though, so I should say, you should still go. Because I wouldn't go at all. This guy insists he has haunted puppets. Sure he does.

C2CAM’s own Jimmy Church made an appearance in the episode I am watching tonight about the Mt Adams UFOs.
I never saw him before, not what I expected.

Re: Expedition X ( new Josh Gates show) 2020
Jimmy Church is a bit of a weirdo. I don't know what to think of him. I think he's probably a decent host but I don't like his style. He thinks he can do whatever he wants when he's on C2C and he does things I don't like so I can't deal with it
To me he looks like he sounds, some disheveled homeless guy.
Did he and Josh Gates play with the haunted doll? What about the lifesized ET Statue Art Bell gave him that he swears is possessed? I imagine it's difficult to be Josh Gates. Everything is haunted or possessed and it's your job to identify these things and figure out how to make money off of them.

Josh doesn’t do anything on the show other than explain the subject of the episode and send the two investigators out there. He never leaves NY.
Yeah Church looks disheveled, I was expecting someone more salesman-y looking for some reason. I agree, I don’t know how I feel about him either.

Mt Adams is in WA, btw. Once I get my shit together I'm planning on figuring out what fire service roads I can take that will get me near E-Ceti Ranch and I'm going to see what I can see. I think the E-Ceti Ranch sightings are all a bunch of hoo-haw.

And, if I was Josh, I probably wouldn't leave NY either. I'm sure he sees everything as being haunted now. He's going to end up like that old lady and her husband who are now dead. I forget their names but they have the damn movies about them.

Ed and Lorraine Warren? Those snake oil salesmen?

Yeah, the Warrens. I don't think they're snake oil salesmen. I believe everything they say, especially the movies because those are obviously 100% true.

Re: Expedition X ( new Josh Gates show) 2020
I've decided that hauntings don't exist just based on two things.
1. If haunting is real, it must be terrifying to be a haunter/spirit and be stuck in the same loop for eternity. That's got to suck. So, I refuse to believe that happens.
2. The idea that if I die, I spend the rest of eternity floating around as some kind of spirit is also completely horrifying to me. It seems like a very junior high idea. So, I live as a human for 70 years and then I die and spend eons watching and judging the lives of humans. What kind of cafeteria BS is that?
I don't mind if people believe in hauntings, I assume their reasons are as ridiculous as mine are, so who am I to judge? And who knows who is right? Nobody's coming back to tell us... Or are they?!
