Joe Berlinger is probably best known for being the co-writer/co-director of The Blair Witch Project. But, man, the dude has put out some AMAZING documentaries. I'm thinking of this now because I'm starting Confronting A Serial Killer and I was just thinking all of the great documentaries he's done. I haven't seen them all, but he hasn't disappointed me yet. Have you seen it?

Dude, they put Dave Mustaine and Lars in the same room. That's worth it for the price of admission alone.

Lars is such a fucking cunt.

Dude, I'm addicted to Discovery+ now. Between the serial killer documentaries and the paranormal docs, it's heavenly.

I liked how (IIRC) the documentary didn't sugarcoat the band. Like Metallica or not, the fact that he got access for the Mustaine thing is pretty awesome.

Its been a long time since I watched it. I think they thought it was a beneficial thing to have it be that way. Honestly, with the whole Mustaine/Lars talk, its clear that Lars is still trying to spin it as he is almost the victim there. All his responses are about how it affected him, etc.

I just remember the doc as a whole showcasing a bunch of corny old angry men who haven't made a good record since 1988 (arguably even 1984).

Yeah, fuck Lars. I mean, he's a cunt. They would literally be nothing without their bootleg tapes, but OMG NAPSTER. Fucking twat.
