Garth Marenghi's Darkplace [or, why did DJ keep this from us]

Post by Alien Redrum »

Just discovered this on a friend's recommendation. Only watched the first episode, but holy shit, it's hilarious.

It's got Laszlo in it, so I bet Shiki's seen it. If not, he'll want to.

The full series is on YouTube in HD.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

What is this?

DJ doesn't pass along any good UK shows. Go watch Still Game, it's on Netflix and DJ didn't say a damn thing about it. Ditto for the 4 kids who were all wankers show I don't remember the name of.

It's hard to explain. It's a show from 2005 that mocked the shows from the 80s. It's ridiculous.

And I'm with Miriam at this point.

 Yes, I have seen this. And I think it was talked about on this very site.

Maybe if the admins and mods were able to keep their data secure for longer than 8 years at a time we would have the history of all the great discussions and topics we have had here.

Was the 4 kids show called Misfits?

Of all the shows I'd never have expected septics to enjoy, it would be Still Game.

In a similar vein, if you like that, try Two Doors Down as well.

No it's not Misfits, Grand dad. We're in 2022.

It's called The Inbetweeners. You wouldn't get it. It's about young people. :shake:

Still Game is hilarious. It's on Netflix here.

Two Doors Down isn't available anywhere in the US. It's obviously not a good show then.

I'm still amazed Still Game is, tbh.

This is only streaming on the free 'poor' sites, unfortunately.

I don't know why, that show is hilarious. I've been through all 8 or 9 seasons 3-4 times. Canada has The Trailer Park Boys, Scotland has Still Game. They're the same show essentially, but in different settings.

I just watched the first episode. I do not like this show. Thank you though. The actor who wears the glasses is despisable in every role, apparently. Ditto for the woman who plays his mother.

You just keep the wrong ones to yourself. Still Game was hilarious, that could've been one where you were the hero for recommending it.
