I don't think the Nightmare on Elm Street or the Friday the 13th Anthology shows were any good. I think they were just trying to get something out in the new cable syndication Market and those were familiar names. I basically look at them as the Silk Stockings of horror shows lol

Who doesn't like Madea? she's delightful.

I remember being pissed that Friday the 13th: The Series didn't have Jason, so I never watched it. I like the idea of it now, though.

I just watched Psycho. It's so weird. As I get older, this movie just gets better.

Yeah I was upset that he was not in it either, and I don't think I actually watched any of them. But I do know people whose tastes I trust who said at the time they like that show, and it was pretty good. I've never heard anyone say anything good about The Nightmare on Elm Street one though.

I bet Friday the 13th would have gotten better press if the title was different. What a stupid idea for a money grab.

I've got the Universal Monsters rolling today. Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein...it's gonna be a black and white day.

Yeah if it had a different title I'm sure it would have done pretty well.

I just watched The Goldbergs Halloween show and Jesus Christ... They need to end it now. Three different plots; two were vaguely Halloween related, the third made zero sense. And I realized the only thing the show has going for it is Tim Meadows at this point. Why doesn't somebody give Tim Meadows his own TV show already?

Stu's review of Run Sweetheart Run pretty much sums up my feelings. I dug this movie a lot.

Personally I am a big fan of Friday the 13th the Series. You just can't go in thinking it has absolutely ANYTHING to do with the moview franchise. Its a fun show, and comparing it to Silk Stalkings is a disservice... even if I understand why.

Hey, Silk Stalkings was the #1 syndicated cable show for years.

I think if they'd named it something entirely different it would've been a hit. Because, like you said, if you go in thinking it has anything to do with the movies, you're going to hate it. It had to have been a decent show as it went on for 3 years. If they'd called it Robey's Mystery Store it would probably still be on the air today.

I watched Addams Family 1991 on a whim last night, and started watching Addams Family Values just to complete it, right now. For being 30 years old, they hold up very well. Also, looking at Pugsley in these, I wouldn't have thought that he'd grow up to be Fedora Guy.

I'm just going to declare myself the winner now, unless the rest of you have to add a lot of things.

I think next year I'll retire.

Nah, you'll got it.

I'm really happy with how I did. It's going to be the second-best I've done since we started this, and I haven't done this well since 2019.

Can't wait for Christmas! I hope to do better than last year this time around.

You'll probably win that one. I hate Christmas horror
