Peaky Blinders

Post by Neon Maniac »

Has anyone watched this? I started watching it and have been enjoying it. It has Sam Neill in it, so I'm betting Shiki watched it. But it's about Gypsies and caravanners so I'm betting AR won't watch it, unless it's to check out their hobo wear.

I'm a friend of the Gypsies though, so of course I like this show. In the episodes that have Tom Hardy I just pretend it's Bane and Scarecow and they've just taken over Birmingham after time traveling to the past.

Also, I'm three seasons in and have yet to see any beans on toast. That tells me this is very historically inaccurate. But I'm still enjoying it for what it is.

It's an awesome show. I've watched every season, but the gaps between seasons were so long I need to go back and marathon from the start. I live not far from the areas where most of the show is set.

Were there gaps between airings? I was wondering since every season comes back and it's about 2 years later.

Yeah, about 18 months to a couple of years I think. We don't move quickly in the UK.

Actually, I looked it up:

Season 1 to Season 2 was a one year gap
2 to 3 was 18 months
3 to 4 was 15 months
4 to 5 was 18 months
5 to 6 was 2 years 4 months, although I think S5 was intended to be the final season but they brought it back for one more.

I can see that. I'm on 4 and it seems like they're running out of steam.

You live on an island, I believe everything in every British show is close to where you live.

The UK is a little smaller than my state, but you have about 14 times the population. I've honestly never understood how you can have so many accents and cultures.
