The Dead Don't Die

Post by Neon Maniac »

Has anyone seen this? I found it quite enjoyable. But I think you need to be familiar with Romer's zombie films as well as Jim Jarmusch movies to get some of it. It's on Max right now and I'd recommend it.

I switched it off after about 20 minutes.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of Jarmusch.

I need to see this. I like Jarmusch generally, but am so burnt out on zombies I just stopped giving a fuck about zombie movies and tend to ignore them.

Then you would really like this. This is a parody, partly based on everything you said. It also runs through a lot of horror tropes and dialog on purpose. It also kind of does a tip of the hat to 50's/60's scifi type movies.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

Thinking about it, it's also Jim Jarmusch making his Wes Anderson movie.
