Now that I think about it, if it's not a remake, has Tarantino become so fucking hacky he can't even think of an original title now?

What a douche.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

It's a 'reimagining' just like he reimagined all those other movies into Kill Bill and Death Proof.

Remember, it's an homage if you have the characters talk about it and point it all out first.

I generally like Tarantino's stuff, and he is pretty frank when discussing all his influences. I kinda see him like a mashup artist. They take two or more generic pop songs, or songs of totally opposing genres, and mix, chopp, mash & rearrange them to create something a bit more grimy, with more texture and overall more enjoyable. Tarantino picks the highlights of all kinds of genre films and somehow transforms this "highlight reel" into a film.

No, I dont' care if they're right or wrong, or what their opinions are about films. All I care about is that people from another board were causing DDM problems. Only people from HT can do that.

Unless it's something he's never, ever, never, ever seen. Like City on Fire.

Oh, I enjoy watching his movies for that reason, to see what he's ripped off. It's like a game.

Holy shit. :rotfl:

I didn't realize my post would bloom into this.

Thanks Neon!

Though I knew what I was walking into, that movie board is like a mix of AICN's Talkback and the IMDB's message boards with the typical acumen of an AOL user.

I still cherish this pearl hurled my way:

"plus, how is owning and watching films "everyone has seen" boring? you don't watch movies to be entertained?"

I can only assume he means that the infinite number of non-mainstream films aren't entertaining. I guess. :rotfl:

I shot back with this:

"Of course I watch movies to be entertained, but I also don't to eat at McDonalds, the largest and most popular food chain on Earth, does that mean I don't eat food to enjoy it?"

...but apparently this is too hard for the 13 year old mind to grasp.
