Re: Cirque du Freak: The Saga of Darren Shan
This series has jumped the shark like 1000 times, and has become waaaay too predictable. But I've come this far so I'm sticking with it! Also, AR, some of those copies you found were the UK copies, so he goes from being American and then suddenly he's British.

I finished the series today. It gets really weird near the end. One book is like some odd cross between Clive Barker and HP Lovecraft. That would make it sound good, but no, not really. Very interesting ending though.

I'm on like book six. I hate this series, but I'm determined to finish it out.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

It makes it sexier.
Have they had the vampire ball yet? I love how they say the vampires are mainly men, and then they have a big ball where they all dance together.

I really gotta finish Misery so I can get back into this series. You guys don't even like the books that much and you're further along than I am.

Okay, I started Vampire Prince. Something incredibly tough after reading Dexter. The book starts with him stripping down naked, joining a pack of wolves and sucking from the teat from one of them. Honestly.

Yeah, that was kind of weird.
There are some weird bits in that series, that's what kept me going through it, actually. The Lake Of Souls is downright odd.
