For some reason, I think big gay disco is a good description of this forum.

I'm thinking I might make one to keep in the trunk of the car though. Might be nice to have hot water if I ever have to watch a Matthews compound for 3-4 days hoping to get the drop on Sergio Frenchi. - Neon Bolan

I'm buying the third book this weekend and will start it ASAP.

I've been busy moving so I haven't really had time to read. :(

Yeah, you really need to get a sony ebook reader! Rumor has the discontinued 505 at $70 at Target, although few people have actually seen that. I haven't.

You're just getting to the third book?!?! Jesus fucking christ! You haven't even completed the first plotline and you're calling out gay subtext! I figured you were half way through the series or so by now. JFC again, because now we're going to have to watch the damnable spoilers. If you had a Sony reader you could have the entire series (plus other things to boggle your mind) for free, at the touch of your fingertips! Don't go buy a car, go get an ereader!

I TOLD YOU I WAS BEHIND ON MY READING!

And an ereader is definitely not a priority for me right now.

One (of many, but I can't stop) of the things that's driving me crazy about this series is that every once in awhile, Sham refers to the vampires as the undead. This is after many, many explanations about how the vampires are definitely not the undead, are quite alive, and can be killed like any other living creature.

Sham, other than reading a Darren Sham book once every three years, do you read much at all? If so, seriously consider a reader. They're a bit spendy, yes. BUT... I think we can probably hook you up with a library that will ensure YOU NEVER BUY ANOTHER BOOK AGAIN FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE*

Yes, I read all the time. But I like books. I like going to bookstores and libraries.

And I'm being 100% serious when I say I can't afford an ereader right now. I have to find a job and be able to support myself by January if I want to stay in Georgia. Plus, with Christmas coming up, it's just not a good time to be buying luxuries for myself. I'll ask for an ereader, but I'm also asking for an iPod and digital camera, so don't get your hopes up.

Whatever Sham.

I still visit libraries and bookstores on a weekly basis. I was at Powell's today.

This series is getting (pardon the pun, it's not meant to be) fairly bloody. And people are now swearing. I am shocked.
