After surviving a national tragedy that has devastated Hollywood, Kaydon Klay is on the verge of superstardom. All she's ever wanted was to be famous and now it's in her grasp. Who cares that the press only want to talk to her because she worked as a babysitter for a washed-up actress who murdered a few dozen celebrities? Just imagine how many followers she's going to get on Instagram.

Glitterbomb: The Fame Game continues the dark exploration of fame and our obsession with it that began in the first mini-series. The focus shifts to Kaydon, who at first appears stuck-up and condescending and now looks young and innocent as cameras flash all around her. The photographers physically surround her to the point where it's suffocating to see. Even the word balloons crowd around as people shout questions at her and try to get her attention. This is what she wanted, but is it worth it?

Artist Djibril Morissette-Phan shows some brilliant art direction throughout the issue. Many of the panels show Kaydon in the middle, reinforcing the fact that she's the center of attention wherever she goes. All eyes are drawn to her whenever she's on the page. This continues past the paparazzi and into Kaydon's return to school.

While much of this is terrifying on its own, there's still a supernatural element to Glitterbomb in the form of a strange monster that had taken up residency in Kaydon's former employer, Farrah Durante. Its presence is still felt, although only briefly. It's different than what we've seen before and very mysterious. It delivers on some gruesome stuff.

Detective Isaac Rahal is looking into the recent tragic events. He is visibly shaken by what he's seen. His shirt is unbuttoned. His tie is pulled loose. His mind is trying to come to grips with the impossible horrors he's witnessed lately and it's breaking him. He only appears for a few pages, but his story resonates just as much, if not moreso than Kaydon's.

Glitterbomb: The Fame Game shows real life terror that happens on a daily basis in Hollywood. Fame is a claustrophobic, soul-crushing experience and young Kaydon Klay is about to see it up close and personal. This is something she's longed for all her life and the glitz and glamour is about to chew her up and spit her out. That doesn't even include the literal monster lurking in the shadows nearby!
