Have you ever found yourself reading a horror comic and wondering what drink would be the perfect pairing for it?  Well, Tiki Surf Witches Want Blood has you covered.  It features an original story along with ten horror-inspired cocktail recipes.  You can make your own drinking game as you read the book.  Every time a voodoo spell is used, take a drink!

Tiki Surf Witches Want Blood has a pretty straightforward story.  A pair of surfers head to the Isle of Diablo to ride some gnarly waves.  It's there they catch the eye of two beautiful topless women and then meet the rest of their tribe, made up exclusively of beautiful topless women.  They're not welcomed with open arms by the others and readied for sacrifice to the volcano god.

You should know that Tiki Surf Witches Want Blood is not a bone-chilling tale of terror.  If you're looking for scares, you will be disappointed.  Instead, it's a fun, 1950s-era romp filled with supernatural and voodoo elements set in a gorgeous Pacific island.  The jokes are a little corny and if it wasn't for all the nudity, it would be an all-ages book.

Much of this comes from Nik Poliwko's artwork.  He has a classic style akin to old-school comics.  The pencils are finely detailed and wonderfully rendered.  Poliwko works a fine balance between the creepy and the beautiful.  When the surfers first arrive on the island, they discover about a dozen shrunken heads, issuing a warning to the travelers.  Each is unique, yet all of the eyes glare forward in a hard stare.  Compare this to the bountiful, nearly naked women and you've got a nice juxtaposition.

I can't speak to the drink recipes included in the book, as I'm not much for alcohol.  Writer Will Penny works them into the story organically.  For example, when the shrunken heads first pop up, the recipe for a Shrunken Skull including lime juice, grenadine, Gold Puerto Rican Rum, and 151-proof Demerara Rum is shown on the bottom of the page.  This goes on throughout the entire comic.  It doesn't feel like an ad or in any way forced.

You know what you're getting into with Tiki Surf Witches Want Blood.  It's a lighthearted, sexy read accompanied by a bunch of cocktail recipes that would liven up any luau.  This is the kind of comic that your dad kept hidden away behind the bar because of all the boobs.
