Review:

Move over, Wonder Woman.  There's a new badass Greek goddess in comics.  Meet Pandora, yes from the myth about the box.  Turns out she's immortal and has spent the past 3,000 years putting everything she let out back in.  Now a whole new box has opened as scientists finally turned on that supercollider and all kinds of weird stuff came through the portals that were opened up as a result.  Pandora isn't doing this alone though.  She has the help of Widow, a literal spider-woman, and a couple other buxom ladies in War Goddess.

This is one of the first books from Boundless Comics, a new publisher spun out of Avatar Press, that has Lady Death at its center.  The books are a bit more T 'n A focused, similar to that of Zenescope, but a lot more brutal.  While the ladies at Zenescope can certainly be scary, the women at Boundless would beat the crap out of them.  Pandora is one of those women.

The art by Pow Rodrix (awesome name, by the way) delivers plenty on the cheesecake with big helpings of gore on the side.  This issue opens up with Pandora and Widow battling a giant multi-eyed monster that's a cross between a dinosaur and a spider.  It's a great design.  There's little doubt as to who War Goddess is meant for when it comes to the ladies portrayed here.  These are all big-breasted women wearing skimpy clothes in what has to be very cold surroundings.  For the most part, they look alright, but there are several instances where they just look awkward standing there with their boobs pushed out.

This is just issue #0 of the ongoing War Goddess series.  It introduces the characters and sets the events into motion, but provides just enough information to make it a really interesting intro.  There are still plenty of questions and some things that are a little weird, but for the most part, it works.  It's an intriguing spin on Greek mythology mixed with modern day science and filled with hot chicks.  What's not to love?
