Janey Belle is dead. That might be obvious, as this storyline is called “The Death of Zombie Tramp.” She had become a monster, preparing to open up a portal to another dimension and call forth the Kaiju Queen. This process has not stopped with her death, as a river of blood flows forward to open up this doorway to another realm. DollFace, Vampblade, and Black Betty have to work together to figure out a way to stop this from happening, which is easier said than done.

The major obstacle standing in their way is the young girl, Morning, who is tied to this realm and wants nothing more than freedom. She's incredibly powerful and lashes out at the trio in a series of powerful attacks. Admittedly, this can look a little silly at times because she's a little girl aided by a stuffed rabbit.

Some of these pages look a little rushed. Celor delivers some great work in Zombie Tramp #51, but this battle in particular is a little rough, like it was more of a sketch than a finished product. The pencils are a little too loose for my tastes. They lack definition.

Where Celor really excels is with the Kaiju Queen. We see her stepping forward to prepare for her entrance to our world in all her glory. She is a monstrous demonic entity with these dark antlers coming out of her collar bones and a piercing third eye on her forehead. Her hands end in razor sharp claws. Her first appearance in this issue is frightening, intimidating, and a bit titillating. She's basically wearing some strategically placed postage stamps.

Sean Callahan and Arnaldo Robles give the Kaiju Queen a sinister pale complexion. She's not really undead like a zombie. Instead, she's more like a glistening pallor of evil. Her bluish white skin contrasts with the darkness of her outfit, hair, and eyes. Her third eye glows with an intense yellow. It's funny that someone who represents death and destruction looks so lively.

This contrasts with the Hell on Earth that's unfolding in our world. It's a dark, dystopian landscape with nothing but a throne of corpses for as far as the eye can see. Morning's attacks break this up a bit, as there are a number of energy attacks traded between her and DollFace.

It's clear that Janey Belle's death is not the end of this story. Things are heating up even more as these characters essentially prepare for the end of the world. This issue goes by quick, as it mostly consists of a fast-paced battle between supernatural warriors. It's like an occult blockbuster movie. Get out the popcorn because Zombie Tramp is showing no signs of stopping.
