Chad Archibald is no stranger to Frightfest with his previous works Antisocial and The Drownsman screening in recent years. 2015 is no exception to the successful festival run as he takes the helm for icky body-horror Bite. Details are scarce at the moment, but the trailer hints at something that could be a truly disgusting delight for fans of body horror as a young girl gets bitten by an unknown insect and begins a slow descent into metamorphosis. Bite will be a Discovery Screen 3 feature on Monday 31st August at 3.35pm.

While on her bachelorette party getaway, Casey (Elma Begovic) - the bride to be - gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.

“This movie was a wild adventure to film, and I can't wait to share it with audiences this summer!” says actor Elma Begovic. “Working with Black Fawn Films has allowed me to be part of a scary, and at times sexy film, and director Chad Archibald truly gave me the opportunity to stand tall and proud behind my character.”
