A game of musical chairs was created at the Dark Horse Builds Character panel as Dark Horse Comics Publicist Aub Driver wrangled an array of creators to discuss some new and upcoming work. First up was artist Jim Calafiore, who spoke briefly about the experience of bringing Leaving Megalopolis to the publisher after a successful run on Kickstarter. The dark super hero book is a great read and Calafiore's artwork shines on those pages. Writer Gail Simone arrived later, but echoed the artist's comments about how satisfied they were about the book.

Writer Fred Van Lente spoke about his new creator-owned title The Resurrectionists. "What if Phillip K. Dick wrote crime fiction?" A group of thieves are attempting to pull off the world's biggest heist and steal their souls back. Unfortunately, they've been trying to do this for centuries and they keep failing. They are able to pull from their past lives to help them accomplish the goal this time around. Van Lente said that the idea came to him when he was doing research for an issue of Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four, where he found that tomb robbers would steal in an effort to kill the person in the afterlife. He was briefly joined on stage by artists Maurizio Rosenzweig and Moreno Dinisio, although neither of them said anything.

The two artists were then asked to leave the stage to make room for Rafael Albuquerque, the creator of the upcoming series Ei8ht. This is a comic focused on a time traveler who is given one last chance to save his ill wife. It's a suicide mission that will take him to the Melt, a place where everything that has ever been or ever will be exists. Albuquerque explained that different shades of colors will guide the reader through different times within the Melt.

Tony Puryear and Erika Alexander then joined the panel to discuss Concrete Park. (See what I mean about musical chairs? We're not done yet!) This comic is a sci-fi book in which Earth's underclass are sent to space to mine for minerals and other resources. It's sort of like Australia in space. These people are left out there and have to decide how they will create this new society in the stars.

Puryear and Alexander then went back to their seats to make room for Donny Cates and Eliot Rahal. Cates has a new book coming up called The Ghost Fleet. "There's a bunch of big trucks doing a bunch of big guy action stuff." He said that the book follows the truckers that are hired by the government to transport a lot of weird stuff. Think the things in the warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Ghost Fleet will deal with crazy assassins, supernatural stuff, and big trucks.

Covers for Fight Club 2 were shown, but nothing new was discussed about the project.
